Lativi Become "Test Driver" for Renault F1 Team



The Canadian, Nicholas Latifi, Monday (14/03/2016) appointed as a new test driver for Renault Sport F1 team.

The 20-year-old rider will follow the development program, among others gave him a chance to participate in a free practice session on the 2016 racing season.

Latifi is currently gearing down in the race to join the DAMS GP2 and he will also follow his role as test driver with the team Renault Sport F1.

"Nicholas is a young rider who was berlembang rapidly and has experienced in the arena of the race," said race director of the Renault team, Frederic Vasseur.

"We are very excited to deliver it as a preparation for the F1 arena by utilizing the time with the team," said Vasseur.

Latifi Actually not too special appearance. He never won the race during the Formula 3 or Formula Renault 3.5 and only one podium in 2014.

Even so Latifi said he was happy with the opportunities that it generates. "There is a long history behind the name of Renault in F1. So the opportunity to join and mingle with the experts on this team will greatly assist the development of (career) me."
